How is it possible that the wine is from Chile? One may likely pose the question.
Sena is an extraordinaire, traded around the world in the same vein as Bordeaux's First Growths. Credits to the people behind its vision. Sena is a shared dream of two wine icons - Eduardo Chadwick and the legendary Californian Robert Mondavi. They discovered the perfect vineyard at Valle de Aconcagua, the highest peak of all the southwestern hemisphere! Better vineyard practices, improved winemaking from highly educated winemakers, and Chile's perfect Mediterranean climate led to the birth of this Sena beauty.
Rated 98 points by wine critic James Suckling, the Bordeaux-blend Sena 2016 has "gorgeous texture", "velvety tannins" with "bright" and "very pure fruit". 2016 is another favorable year. The blessing of an unexpected rainy winter provided moisture for perfectly balanced canopies. The cool spring was an ideal climate for healthy fruit set and a beautiful physiological grape ripeness.
Extraordinaires don't come in abundance. Only 6000 cases are produced a year. We are delighted to offer a small parcel of this new release, while stocks last.
