What is there not to love about Grenache, the grape variety that is responsible for some of the most delicious and premium wines in the world. Chateauneuf du Pape of Southern Rhone, France is one such region.
Domaine Pierre Usseglio
The consistently high-rated Domaine Pierre Usseglio makes mostly 100% Grenache wines. Their uniqueness stem from their ability to effortlessly integrate modern and traditional style in one wine. Across the board, their wines are rich and bright (read: modern), yet firmly structured with a lovely savoury mouthfeel (read: traditional).
Wines On Offer
We have three reds and one white on offer now!
Usseglio 2016 WA92
Flagship expression of the “modern traditional” wine that is ripe and full-bodied, yet still shows a touch of elegance with no hard edges.
Usseglio Cuvee Mon Aieuls 2016 WA97
Go for this if you enjoy very bright chirpy fruit flavors, thanks to 100% whole-bunch fermentation. Fruit comes from very old vines of mainly 90 years old, so expect deep concentrated flavors.
Usseglio Reserve Des Deux Freres 2016 WA99
The most intensely concentrated of all three wines, thanks to the use of the oldest vines of Usseglio. Aging in new barrels give hints of vanilla, baking spices, and cinnamon notes that are well-integrated over a soft plush and full-bodied texture.
Usseglio White 2017 WA93
Full-bodied white wine with a creamy texture over bright lime and tangerine flavors.
