The legend of Penfolds Grange is a journey of invention, passion, risk and determination – the pursuit of perfection in a bottle. Founded back in 1844, Penfolds is the oldest wine brand in Australia. Its flagship wine, Grange, is Australian’s most revered wine, and for good reason!
"All winemakers should possess a good fertile imagination if they are to be successful in their craft."
– Max Schubert, Penfolds First Chief Winemaker
Max Schubert’s journey to perfection was never an easy one. When the 1951 vintage first debuted in Sydney, none of the experts liked it – including Schubert’s own bosses! Although he was told to stop production, he continued reinventing Grange in small batches until it finally gained enough recognition for production.
Today, not only is Grange listed as an official South Australian heritage icon, it is also one of the most revered collectible wines on the continent. A wine that commands the same price and respect as a direct equivalent to Bordeaux’s first growth!
Crafted in the unique Australian Shiraz style, Penfolds Grange Bin 95 2016 is impressively concentrated and full-bodied, with an extraordinarily long, velvety finish. It has the potential to last for decades, if properly stored.
A timeless classic of personal triumph and extraordinary vision!
